Robotics Australia Group Chair, Dr. Sue Keay, recently represented RAG at ‘2025 RoboWorld’, Korea’s largest robotics festival, held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. During the event, Dr. Keay signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Robotics Association, strengthening collaboration between Australian and Korean robotics industries and paving the way for future joint initiatives in research, innovation, and commercialisation of robotics technologies.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, RoboWorld showcased over 360 companies from 17 countries across more than 1,000 booths. The festival highlighted cutting-edge developments in humanoid robots, physical AI, industrial automation, collaborative robotics, care and rehabilitation robotics, and emerging technologies shaping the future of smart industries. Visitors were able to explore innovations ranging from heavy-duty autonomous mobile robots and industrial automation solutions to care robots designed for healthcare and rehabilitation applications.
The event also served as a global networking and knowledge exchange platform, bringing together leaders, innovators, and academics from across the robotics ecosystem. Concurrent activities included the International Robot Symposium (ISR Asia) and the 20th Anniversary Dinner, featuring the IERA (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award in Robotics and Automation) Awards Ceremony, recognising outstanding contributions to the global robotics industry.
This milestone MOU reflects RAG’s ongoing commitment to fostering international partnerships, supporting the growth of Australia’s robotics ecosystem, and promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing in line with global advancements in robotics and automation. It strengthens Australia’s presence in the international robotics landscape and provides opportunities for future joint projects, innovation, and talent development.
