Robotics Australia Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Mason as Chief Executive Officer, commencing as he transitions into the role ahead of 1 May 2026.
Paul brings more than two decades of experience across advanced manufacturing, engineering, and technology commercialisation. He is a well-known connector across Australia’s manufacturing and robotics ecosystem, with deep experience working with industry, government and research organisations to drive collaboration and capability uplift.
As Founder and Managing Director of Cyndeo, Paul has advised hundreds of SMEs on automation, robotics and Industry 4.0 adoption, and has played a national leadership role through his work with the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME). His strong track record in ecosystem building, governance, and industry engagement positions him well to lead Robotics Australia Group into its next phase.
Chair of Robotics Australia Group, Dr Sue Keay, said:

The Board also acknowledges and thanks current CEO Nicci Rossouw, who will conclude her tenure on 30 April 2026, coinciding with the Sydney Build Expo.
Nicci has led Robotics Australia Group since 2022 with energy, passion and a deep commitment to the robotics community. A recognised thought leader in robotics and automation, she has been instrumental in strengthening Robotics Australia Group’s national profile and fostering connections across industry.
During her time as CEO, Nicci has championed the role of robotics in delivering positive outcomes for people and businesses, while actively building a vibrant and connected community through events, advocacy and industry engagement.

“Nicci has made a significant contribution to Robotics Australia Group and to the broader robotics ecosystem in Australia. She has grown our membership base and cemented our position as the peak body representing the robotics industry in Australia. Her leadership, energy and ability to connect people have been central to our growth, and we thank her for the lasting impact she has made. We wish her every success in her next ventures.”
Nicci will work closely with Paul over the coming weeks to support a smooth transition.
