Media Release – Jevons Robotics is the latest recipient of $1 million Accelerating Commercialisation Australian Government Grant.

Perth based Industrial Electric Vehicle manufacturer; Jevons Robotics is the latest recipient of $1 million Accelerating Commercialisation Australian Government Grant.

Jevons Robotics is one of the largest beneficiaries in the highly competitive Accelerating Commercialisation grant provided by the Department of Industry, Science and Technology.

This grant forms part of the Government’s Entrepreneurs’ Programme. It aims to encourage and assist small and medium businesses, entrepreneurs and researchers to commercialise novel products, processes, and services.

Jevons Robotics CEO and founder Todd Peate said, “We are thrilled to be recognised by the Australian Government and to receive this assistance. This funding will help commercialise our exciting ROEVA – a world first, autonomous, electric battery vehicle which will initially be used in the delivery of explosives, blast quality assurance and delivery of stemming. The grant is a notable example of the Government’s commitment to innovation and investment in robotics.”

“Worker safety, productivity and sustainability are still the most critical factors in effectively operating mines. The ROEVA will deliver on each of these but most importantly will remove human workers from dangerous zones. ” said David Crosbie, COO Jevons Robotics.

“We have had interest from around the world and, as with any new solution, once the need has been identified, it cannot come quick enough. It will be a game changer in the delivery of explosives and the market is positive about the change” commented Crosbie.

Last month, Jevons announced it’s partnership with ABD Solutions (ABDS) to integrate ABDS’ Indigo Drive autonomy and communications software, hardware, and support solution on our automation-enabled Jevons Robotics suite of Industrial Electric Vehicles.

“This is a great endorsement on the capability of not only our direct team but that of the specialists that we have involved in a highly collaborative effort” said Todd Peate CEO.

Congratulations to all winners and thank you to the Australian Government Department of Innovation and Science.
