Our network member, Universal Field Robots, is gearing up for the autonomous shift.
Sales and Legal Specialist Kerry Doherty will be presenting at Austmine’s METS Exchange event in Brisbane on Thursday, 13 November, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
His presentation, “Automation that works in the real world: From test track to operational mine,” will explore key lessons from commissioning six autonomous haul trucks currently operating in production, as well as the critical “last mile” of operational deployment — where people, process, and technology must align to ensure success. Kerry will also share insights on building a sustainable and scalable automation roadmap that evolves with operational needs.
This event will focus on remote operations and automation, exploring how digital technologies and autonomous systems are transforming the way mines are designed, managed and operated. As the industry moves towards safer, more efficient and more connected operations, the need for scalable, integrated solutions is more important than ever.
You’ll hear a series of short, high-impact presentations from METS innovators working at the forefront of this transition, showcasing real-world applications of remote-control systems, autonomous vehicles, digital twins, workforce enablement tools and more.
From improving safety and reducing travel to reshaping operational models and enhancing decision-making, the session will highlight how technology is enabling the mine of the future, today.
METS Exchange is designed for impact and efficiency, combining focused content with time for networking and discussion. It’s a space for technology developers, mining professionals and operations leaders to connect, share insights and explore what’s working on the ground
