After completing her apprenticeship, she moved into a Process Improvement Technician role and continued her study part time to attain a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Over the subsequent 6 years, she worked her way to Process Improvement Engineering Manager, leading a team made up of early careers, Technicians and Engineers.
